Of Tax Revenue Increase
The Leon County Commissioner’s Court conducted public hearings on Thursday, August 26
th, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. and Monday, August 30
th, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. on a proposal to increase the total tax revenues of the Leon
County from properties on the tax roll in the preceding year by -2.6%.
The total tax revenue raised last year at last year’s tax rate of .417777 for each $100 of
taxable value was $8,555,004.70.
The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of .417777 for
each $100 taxable value, excluding tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll
this year is $8,164,561.10.
The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of .417777 for
each $100 of taxable value, including tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax
roll this year, is $8,262,578.30.
The Leon County Commissioner’s Court is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that will result in
that tax increase at a public meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 at the Leon County
Annex I building, Commissioner’s Courtroom at 113 W. Main, PO Box 429, Centerville, TX 75833 at
9:30 a.m.
